Adam has a way of bringing tears to my eyes, whether he tries to or not. I love you brother! Anyway, on the anniversary of Danny's death Adam tried to call me when I was picking up Enzo from daycare. I get back to the car to see a missed call and then a text message came through. Mind you, Adam doesn't text, he's too cool for that. The text read "Hey, I hope you're having a good day today. I love you sister!" And what did I do, CRIED! He's an amazing man and I'm so grateful to have him for a brother.

It's crazy to think that tomorrow 7/11/08 will be 6 years since the passing of Danny. I think of him daily and will never forget the amazing child that God gave me and the love he held for not only I, but every one around him. I love you son. Until We Meet Again...
I saw this poem and wanted to share because a lot of what it says is how I believe and cope. I try to live in Faith.

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we are to each other, that we are still. With each passing day...

I am amazed more and more each day at how fast Enzo is growing. He's finally cutting his bottom teeth, it almost looks as if they are coming in one after another. My once well behaved child that never cried has taught me that life is full of surprises. If I didn't know of him teething, I would have wondered why he was screaming so loud. Poor lil' man, it must be painful. He's so cute when it comes to getting out of the car seat. His handsome lil' face shows all sorts of excitement as he kicks around his feet and waves his arms as if he so anxious to get out. I love the smiles and attention he's been giving me more and more each day. It makes my days of mothering that much more rewarding. Enzo has been such a blessing in my life. We definitely enjoy our moments together.

Why is it that a babies first word has to be "DA DA". Yup, he did it! Enzo has mastered the word and was having a hay day yesterday with it. It was actually the cutest thing ever and I cheered him on just to hear him talk and scream more. It's so fun to sit with him while he's talking, I laugh, which in turn makes him laugh and we just sit and laugh and scream together. Children are amazing. I just hope that my crazy attitude doesn't rub off on him one day and make him one crazy kid, it may already be too late though. As soon as he starts being mobile, I think I'm in trouble.

More good news...I can see the FIRST tooth! YAY... How exciting is that? Watching your child grow is such a huge and exciting blessing. Although once they're grown, you wish they were small once again.

I'm so excited for more and more to come.

What's been going on...

It seems as if it's been so long since I've written. Life has been quite busy with ups and downs, but I'd like to continue to say it's beautiful regardless. What's up with Enzo...
Finally got over a double ear infection
And the stomach flu? or something like it...
At almost 7 months, he's just now able to get 6 mo. shots tomorrow (poor baby)
He's rolling, yes he's rolling over from the back to stomach now
Every now and again he prefers to roll and sleep on his tummy
He's so intrigued with everything in site, I think he's going to run before he walks
He loves to take walks in the stroller at night before bath and bedtime
Loves to stick out his tongue and blow bubbles
Wants to grab everything in site, is for sure learning his motor skills
And he's bouncing so much more in his excersaucer
Enzo's personality is definitely starting to show. He does something cute or funny and looks at me like "hey mom, did you see that" He's been such a joy to have around.

We went camping last weekend and Enzo did very well and loved each and every moment of it. He loves the outdoors, so he handled it all so well.

As for me, I've been the busy working mom trying to juggle my job and a sick child. It's been hectic, but things are just now getting back to normal again. Wait, is normal even possible? =) I'm scheduled to meet with the Boss Man this week to talk about future plans and my "raise", I'm really looking forward to this, it's needed. I'm trying out the new "diet" plan (below) and beginning to take walks at night in hopes to lose a few and feel a bit better about myself. I think to look good is to also feel good...vice versa. I'm looking forward to seeing some changes about myself. I recently finished reading "Twilight" and look forward to reading the other (2) books that go along with it. Maybe I can pick up the other from Carrie this weekend. Wishing you all the best and much love. I forgot to mention, the snake you see in the picture above is a Rattle Snake, yes, a rattler! As I was walking down the road I heard the "rattle" and looked to my side to find a snake rattling his tail beside me. Without time to even think I continued to walk and said "Melanie, that's a rattle snake" Wow... I never thought that would happen. A guy by the name of Jason AKA "Steve Erwin" caught the snake with two sticks and put him in the box. I was grateful for that because he was headed straight for my tent.

Thanks to a friend of mine, I've started a new approach to dieting, if that's what you want to call it. I'd like to say that it's a change of habit, rather than to say it's a diet. Now, how often do you hear those words. On this website, you can provide some information about yourself and your weight goal and in return it will let you know what your daily calorie intake should be. From there, you're able to log in everything you for the day and it will keep track of your calorie intake as well as show a cool little pie chart of your fat, protein and carb intake. I love it, I'm addicted. I suggest you make it an addiction of yours as well.

It's been awhile

I'm not quite the blogger as I use to be, but I hope to get better at it soon. I just wanted to share this cute picture of Enzo.
