Daddy and Me

I just recently received a picture of Enzo's father
when he was a baby. I thought it was the coolest thing to look at the picture and see how he and Enzo resemble one another. I also pulled out my first baby picture, but sadly I do not have it available on the computer. I think Abraham and Enzo have the same lips, chin and forehead. There could be more or maybe less, let's hope less.

I'm kidding, but I guess besides the unmentionables and considering the circumstances, I have to be grateful for the father that Enzo does have. He called me this morning and asked if I wanted him to come watch the baby so I can go to work. He also decided that he'd give me child support a week earlier this month so I can pay my rent. Since I'm on the subject, I am reminded of a poem that I recently read from a friend. I really like it and think many others can benefit from it.

There are people who can walk away from you.

And hear me when I tell you this!

When people can walk away from you, let them walk.

Don't try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you.

When people can walk away from you, let them walk.

Let them go.

You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over.

Let me tell you something.

I've got the gift of good-bye.

I believe in good-bye.

It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful.

Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go.

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to ... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ... LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth...LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you ... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge ...LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction ... LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents...LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude... LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!

Every one is doing it...

I decided to join the blog craze. After my friend Jenn set one up for her and her husband, I started to think about joining, but wondering if I had enough to write about. Upon going to work today and seeing that my nephew Paul has set one up, I decided that I'd have to do it as well. I think this will be fun and maybe I can get more family members to start blogging their lives for all to see.
Enzo wanted to show off his first mohawk, it's more than likely the last.
