My Danny Boy

The time is coming, Danny would be 13 years old April 7th. With all the years that have past, it still amazes me that I would have a son in Middle School right now. I often wonder how much different life would be for me at this point. Danny in my Angel, he always had such a sweet spirit about him. I plan on going to his grave this year and taking Enzo with me, although Enzo is only 4 mo. I do believe they are closer to the veil than we are and that it will be a Spiritual experience for the both of us, a special day indeed. I just spent a few minutes creating the following slideshow in memory of Danny. I would also like for any one that wants, to go watch the video on my brothers blog in memory of my son at www.texasromer.blogspot.com

A Beautiful Day

Today was Enzo's blessing day and Easter Sunday as well. I don't think I could have picked a more beautiful day. In thinking about it, Danny's first birthday fell on Easter, so that made it more special that Enzo was blessed on this day. Mark did a wonderful job and I think even the Bishop was touched. It was a great day, did I already say that. Enzo laughed today, more than he ever has before. The first time I heard him laugh was last night as I practically threw him in the air to try and get one out of him, but amazingly today, as you can see in the picture, Enzo laughed like crazy. A friend of his dads was speaking to him in spanish and he got a kick out of it, or he was just laughing because she was talking about going to Uruguay...not sure which it was? Sadly, we have ended the day with Enzo not feeling so well. He is running a fever of 100.6, so I gave him some Tylenol and I'll be keeping a close eye on him. I think he was feeling it coming on all day because to me, he just wasn't himself. Enzo is usually real relaxed, go with the flow, barely makes a peep, but today he was fussy at times and just seemed tense. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he gets better fast.

Exhausting

I never realized how exhausting shopping could be until yesterday. I'm trying to search for a new blessing outfit for Enzo being that the ones he had were too small. I find it funny that JC Penny doesn't carry an in the Utah store, but yet they do in CA...strange considering the amount of children being blessed in Utah. During my shopping excursion I ran across the Easter Bunny and Enzo had his 1st picture taken with the Bunny! I may not have done it if it wasn't for Grandma saying "do it". Anyway, it's off to more stores today on my lunch, off to find the perfect Blessing outfit for my lil' mans special day! As for today, I'm completely, utterly exhausted! Here's a FLASHBACK for you!

Play Time

Thanks to a good friend and her kind gift card, I was able to purchase this expensive lovely piece of plastic for Enzo. Although he's still a bit too small for it, he enjoys it. When I put Enzo in the seat, he has to sit forward because he can't completely sit up on his own yet. It's so cute, he loves the musical portion of it and the bright colors all around, he's pretty much in awe for a few minutes and then he's done. Soon enough he'll be more mobile on his own and he'll enjoy more time with the toys and music. I think it will be nice when that happens, I'll probably get more accomplished without feeling guilty about it or worrying that his poor head will become flat from laying around so much. Yes, I'm a spastic mom, I do worry about those things, especially since he's already got the bald spot. I also wanted to share these photos because I can never catch a picture with a smile on his face. Finally, it took his daddy to talk to him while I took the picture. I'm sure as time goes on, I'll be able to capture more, but he's more or less interested in the huge camera in front of his face rather than showing his pearly gums.

Finally Coming Together

I think things are finally coming together for Enzo's blessing. He will be going on 4 months, but blessed on Easter Day! I'm pretty excited about it and so happy it's finally going to happen. I think I have to take a visit to JC Penny and return the outfit he has for a larger one, oops. It actually looks like it will fit, but just barely, so we'll get one that fits better for his special day. It's going to be amazing and I can't wait.

6 months already...

Don't let that fool you, Enzo's not yet 6 months old, but he sure does fit in his cute 6 mo. jammies. I've been trying to leave Enzo in 3 mo as long as I can, not realizing by the time I finally put him in the others he will almost be out of them. I guess on a good note, more clothes for Cousin Brooks. Between Mark & Heidi and I, Brooks sure has got it made with clothes, I'm sure there will be outfits he never gets to wear, if not once. As you can see in the following pictures, by the time Enzo goes through him nighttime routine and has his jammies on, he is so ready for bed, his eyes show it.

We did it!

Enzo and I went to church today, we almost didn't make it because for some reason this morning I was sure it started at 11:30 a.m. and then when it was 11:02 I panicked and said to myself "duh, it's at 11:00" I threw on my clothes, woke Enzo up and off we went. Good thing we live in Utah and don't have to travel to far to the church building. It happened to be a Missionary farewell, so that was pretty neat to hear. Enzo was so well behaved and alert with every thing around him. Upon leaving, I ran into a subcontractor for my job and he was pretty surprised to see me, sadly, I think he's in another ward. All in all, it's been a great day and I'm looking forward to next week at Davey's farewell. It's coming way too fast, in a matter of days he will be off to the MTC. I remember when my brother Paul went, I was so young, but that day will always be stuck in my mind. I also remember when he came back, oh and going with my mom to buy him some sandals, I forget what they call them, but there were comfy. Oh yea, Birkenstocks!

This is what happens....

When you hang with Keith too long! Actually, it was my imitation of him upon leaving the wedding! I love you KEITH!
