Yesterday was an amazing day. I was able to walk through the New Rexburg, ID Temple before it gets dedicated on Feb. 3rd. In doing so I had so many thoughts run through my mind, but yet each thought was so clear. The tour was so peaceful, beautiful and amazing. The children whom attended even had a sense of piece about them. The Temples is truly a beautiful place.

Snowman
We've had so much snow this year! It seems as if every weekend is filled with some sort of a snow storm. While it's been so much fun to watch the beautiful snow fall and enjoy the "looks" of it, it has been a real big pain. First off, just having a baby and being stuck in the house is bad enough, then the snow storms come and you can't go anywhere and no one will come see you. I do have to be grateful for my friend Jenn and her husband Shaun that live close, they seem to come and visit at least once a week...thank you guys! It's been colder than cold though and poor Enzo has to go out in this, but he'll survive, I have a great cover for his car seat. Poor guy is always so covered, he probably has no idea what the outdoors look like. Anyway, It's cold! I have to say I'm thankful for Heat, my boots, Enzo's car seat cover, SOCKS, a roof over my head, a car with a working heater, jackets, pants and this beautiful life I've been given. Ok, now that my rambling is over, the whole point of me posting a blog today is to share the snowman that I found in the Wal Mart parking lot. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. Pretty Clever!

Snowed In
I'm pretty amazed at how much it has snowed here today. This is my 3rd winter and I can say the most snow I've seen yet. I walked outside and figured I'd move my car before the snow froze on it and I had to scrape it off. To my surprise it was deeper than I though. Even with my new boots on, the snow was coming over them. I didn't have to worry about walking off the curb because there was so much snow, the curb pretty much didn't exist. I had to go back inside after "finding" my car so I could get the broom, I figured it would be easier if I used that. It worked...and my car moved out of the spot without a problem and I moved it to the covered parking.

He Never Said It Would Be Easy, Only That It Would Be Worth It!
I sat up last night and thought about life a lot. I thought about all the trials and tribulations I’ve faced in my life and questioned as to why I’ve been spinning in this whirlwind since the passing of my son Danny. It seems my life has never settled, I’ve been up and running for years, moving from place to place, switching phone numbers, making rational decisions, battling financial issues, etc. You could say this is just a way of life for some people, but I often wonder if the day will come where I’m just “settled” into my life and living the day to day activities without constantly having to make some sort of a “BIG” decision. In thinking of all this, I answer my own prayers. The still small voice whispers to me, “Lindsey, if you want the true happiness that is promised to you, you need to work for it” Ok ok, I know what it is I need to do, why sit and put it off if this is what you truly want from your life. Now I need to sit and write out some goals for myself and my life.

These Boots Are Made For Walkin'
Ok, so I looked every where for a pair of boots like these and come to find out, every one had already bought them all up. If you don't know already, the Original Uggs are the popular boot that looks like this and they are a pretty penny to buy. I went on to the Ugg-Australian website and they were even back ordered there until 3/17/08. Wow... anyway, I was pretty fortunate to be able to find this pair (not Ugg's), that had to be ordered at Famous Footwear. Today is the first day I was able to wear them and let me tell you, on a Snowy Cold Wintery Day...these are the WARMEST most comfortable shoes EVER! No more sopping wet jeans from them draggin' in the snow. Woo Hoo!

*Smiles*
After a full belly and a clean diaper, Enzo is all smiles! I put him in his crib to enjoy his mobile and other crib toy and he was full of smiles. He was so happy, kicking his little feet and waving his arms. I often feel guilty just putting him down, but after seeing how much he enjoyed it, I didn't feel so bad and was able to run and take a few minutes to wash his bottles.

A Typical Work Day
I have been blessed with the opportunity to return back to work, part time, at my leisure and bring Enzo with me. I should really be here more often being that money is needed, but I've also taken advantage of the time off. He's been throwing a fit today, but luckily it's been just the Project Manager and I for the past hour or so. He is the one who wants me here most, so I'm sure the cries don't bother him much. After about an hour of fighting sleep, he's finally OUT! This is when babes look the sweetest!

New Discovery...
Enzo likes to vacuum! Being a mother, especially a single one, you do what you have to do in order to get things done. I recently began carrying Enzo around during the evening time while I do things around the house. It's actually fun to walk around and talk to him as I get what I need done. He enjoys looking around and hearing my voice as we do chores. Maybe this will teach him to do chores when he's older, ha ha ha! One can only hope, right? I managed cleaning my entire house today, it took the entire day, but it's done. I was a bit hesitant on starting the vacuum, but found out that he likes it. YAY...no excuses for a dirty house.
The downside to multi tasking with a baby is what happened in this picture. Ok, so I was vacuuming and I sucked up a plastic strap that was attached to my laptop battery charger...OOPS! Good thing the vacuum and the charger are ok!
And this to the right is what happens when Grandma takes pictures. If any one knows her, they know this. I have to admit that she's been a great help today, although she's only been here for a few hours. It's amazing how much you can get done when some one is there to lend a helping hand in any way that they can. I love that woman!
Enough blogging for now, time to go eat some Brownies with mint chocolate chip ice cream and Hot fudge! I know I know, not the best, but everything is good in moderation.

Zzzzzzzzzzz...
I'm so excited to tell you that Enzo slept 6.5 hours last night. Go Mom Go! On the other hand, he has a stuffed up nose, which has been no fun, but let's keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't get a fever.
